Alzheimer's Disease, Delay the Disease, Exercise, Neuroplasticity
Brief review of pathophysiology, symptoms and presentation of Alzheimer's Disease and the normal aging process (10 minutes)
Discussion of neuroplasticity - definition and how exercise may positively impact this process in the brain (10 minutes)
Understand the ingredients for a successful recipe for a group exercise class targeting the dementia population, and anyone working on enhanced memory and cognition.(10 minutes)
Exercise demonstration (25 minutes)
Q&A (5 minutes)
